WE ARE PLANT MACHINE WORKS

Plant Machine Works is a 62,000-square-foot, full-service machine shop with turn-key machining and fabrication capabilities and large-scale machining for oversized components that many shops can’t handle. Our experienced repair shop specializes in rotating equipment, including but not limited to pumps, gearboxes, blowers, turbines, mixers, hydraulic cylinders, and more.

Over the last ten years, we have expanded our capabilities by adding many new CNC machines to our lineup, including a 5-axis Mazak Integrex Machining Center and CMM inspection equipment. By constantly embracing new technologies, PMW has managed to meet our customers’ evolving expectations and deliver impeccable customer service and the highest-quality machine work with ever-increasing precision and efficiency.

A HISTORY OF INTEGRITY

  • 1977

    Claude Barber - Founder

    Claude Barber purchased Plant Machine Works in 1977, laying the groundwork for the company we are today. His vision was to provide our customers with the highest quality of work at a fair cost. To achieve this, Claude created a culture with core values centered on honesty and integrity. These values continue to form the basis for how we operate to this day.

  • 2006

    2nd Generation

    In 2006 Tommy Barber became the second-generation owner of Plant Machine Works, maintaining the core values established by his father at the company’s founding. With Tommy’s arrival, the company fully embraced new technologies, most notably CNC machining, as the way forward. This core philosophy remains central to the company’s growth and evolution.

    3rd Generation

    Plant Machine Works is already shaping the next generation of leadership, including Tommy’s son Travis, who will one day take his father’s place as the head of the company. Additionally, a secondary team of inspired individuals is working closely with our management team, gaining first-hand knowledge of company operations and management. This is our future.

Our management team consists of Travis McGraw, Senior Vice President; Bobby Williams, VP of Operations; Tyler Jones, Vice President of Project Bidding; and Kade Johnson, Superintendent of Shop Coordination. With our combination of seasoned experience and innovative, fresh thinking with the next generation, Plant Machine Works has the best of both worlds. Within our CNC department, our programmers have over 40 years of success behind them. This cumulative experience allows Plant Machine Works to provide a consistently high-quality product year after year, even as the industry is constantly changing.
